What does the job involve?
Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 Offshore Wind Farm projects consist of 2 x 50 turbines, 2 OSS and 2 ONS with total capacity up to 1,5GW. The wind farms are located respectively 37km and 22km north from the Polish coastline. During the operations phase, maintenance of the wind farms will be conducted from our new operations and maintenance (O&M) base in Łeba, with daily shifts onboard Crew Transfer Vessels (CTV's). The O&M base will include a warehouse, quay, Central Control Room, offices and supporting infrastructure, all of which will be purpose built. In the interim, during the construction of the base, the position will be based out of our Gdansk office.
Operational and Maintenance within Renewables is responsible for life-time operation of offshore wind assets. For our offshore wind operation base in Łeba (north of Poland) we are looking for an experienced offshore technician, with deep understanding of wind turbines technology (especially Direct Drive) and MV/HV substation equipment, with an operational and maintenance background. It's expected that this individual will possess comprehensive knowledge of offshore wind farm elements such as; electrical apparatus, cables, subsea structures and other BoP. You will be required to use a variety of service tools that include; hand tools, meters, tensioners and more. You will become a member of team of professionals responsible for operation and maintenance of Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms.
The Offshore Technician is responsible for the servicing of wind turbines and associated infrastructure through corrective maintenance works. During the construction and installation stage you shall aid the construction and commissioning team. You will provide the technical expertise and assistance for the relevant disciplines and contribute to safe and efficient operations. You will be part of a hybrid competence centre with team members located in Łeba, Gdansk, Warsaw, UK and Norway.

Please note that Łeba is the service base for this role so travel to the asset will be from here and you will be expected to stay in Łeba during rotation. Accommodation will be provided by Equinor.
