Job Description: Senior Consumer Compliance Manager, Financial Services
Summary of Role
As a Consumer Finance Compliance Manager you will join SunPower Financial where you will build tools to assure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. You will collaborate with the Senior Director of Compliance, the Operations team, the Audit team, the Legal team, and the IT team to create and implement SunPower Financial’s Compliance Management System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support SunPower Financial’s Compliance Management System to proactively meet consumer finance statutory and regulatory requirements including: policies and procedures, training, automating monitoring and reporting of compliance matters, customer complaint tracking, reporting, resolution, root cause analysis, vendor management, call scoring, furnishing payment data to consumer reporting agencies, and partnering with internal audit to conduct compliance testing. Partner with business leaders to support new products and initiatives.
Provide compliance advisory support.
Partner with originations, underwriting, and servicing to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Support compliance issue management activities to ensure timely remediation of compliance risks and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with Senior Compliance Director to ensure visibility into compliance risks impacting key initiatives and company growth.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S./B.A. degree
8 or more years of experience in Consumer Finance Compliance
OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Data analytics experience (creating and managing databases to track, identity and resolve root causes of complaints).
Technology skills and experience in automating compliance tracking, monitoring and reporting.
Understanding of applicable consumer finance laws and regulations including: UDAAP, licensing, TCPA, Fair Lending, TILA, FCRA, GLBA, FDCPA.
Preferred Qualifications
FinTech consumer compliance experience.
Ability to communicate complex requirements clearly and concisely.
Ability to build relationships across the organization, cordially work with others in a fast-paced environment while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
Consumer complaint system management.
