Summary of Role:
SunPower is looking for an Interconnection and Rebate Supervisor to lead the interconnection and rebate team and partner with the project intake team. Leading a SunPower team within a high-growth business unit takes strategic foresight, passion for the company mission, an unflappable positive attitude, grit, and the utmost tact and professionalism in high-pressure situations. 
 
As an Interconnection and Rebate Supervisor, you will also take accountability for your team as the primary ‘Customer Advocate’ and own the responsibility of ensuring the team delivers our customers an outstanding experience. You will assist in continuing to develop and refine a team and processes that provide an outstanding customer experience and critical support to sales partners and internal business stakeholders by working closely with fellow Supervisors, Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Regional Operations Managers, and Regional Sales Managers.  This position will be located in either Tempe Arizona or Austin Texas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • We are a team, cultivate strong relationships with all levels and teams of SunPower employees 
    • Ensure timely submission of interconnection applications
    • 15 States:  AZ, CA, CO, CT, IL, FL, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OH, RI, TX, VA
    • Ensure rebate submission to reduce margin leakage  
    • Lead and coach a team of interconnection coordinators (7)
    • Identifies, develops, and implements additional process improvements to align with business best practices and requirements of a fast-paced, dynamic business unit 
    • Integrates new or changing guidelines into process documents and training guides for direct team member in order to ensure standards of performance  
    • Analyzes team SLAs by developing and maintaining reporting dashboards 
    • Observes trends and proactively engages the team to address issues while sharing findings with senior management 
    • Drive communication between necessary stakeholders to ensure services completion and an exceptional Customer Experience 
    • Manage conflict and customer dissatisfaction by taking ownership of issues and working proactively with stakeholders to resolve in a timely manner 
    • Closed-loop learning to develop, refine, and implement processes to improve efficiency and customer experience 
    • Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders as well as customers through respect, empathy, effective communication and being well organized.
    • Minimal domestic travel required 
    • Audit P-Card purchases
    • Approve True Ups for Incentives
    • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

    • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States 
    • Proven customer service background  
    • Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment and adept at navigating ambiguity 
    • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills with varying levels of employees and senior management 
    • Ability to analyze data, present trends, and support findings with cross-functional teams 
    • Experience using a CRM and/or project management and scheduling software 
    • Must be curious with a “life-long learner” mentality and keen ability to motivate and develop a growing team 

Preferred Qualifications:

    • 0-2 years of people management experience 
    • B.S. / B.A. degree and minimum 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and years of related experience  
    • Experience in utility NEM programs for residential customers 
    • Technical knowledge of solar system installations  
    • Experience developing and implementing process improvement activities  
    • NABCEP certification a plus
