Summary of Role:
SunPower’s mission is to change the way the world is powered. Solar energy is one of the fastest-growing industries in the US. Not only is going solar beneficial for the planet; for most Americans, it also saves money vs. buying power from the utility. Studies show that the #1 barrier to solar adoption is concern over how to pay for initial installation. The mission of the Financial Products team is to remove that barrier by making it cheap and easy for customers to go solar. This is a “ground floor” opportunity with the opportunity to have an impact at scale almost immediately
The Financial Services team manages SunPower Financials’ funding, servicing, reporting and risk management functions for all solar and storage lease and PPA transactions. SunPower is seeking an Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing sub-ledger activities throughout Residential Solar & Storage contract life cycle. This role needs to ensure that financial, sub-ledger, and legal records accurately represent business positions, identify gaps and track these to closure. Driving standardization of process and ensuring compliance to Accounting policies is a major component of the role.
