SUMMARY OF ROLE
The position will be responsible to operate company's internal data communications systems, plans, designs and implements local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols

- Supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches.
- Works on project implementation.
- Provides training and assists with proposal writing.
- Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons in coordination with our Purchasing team
- Operates SunPower’s internal and external networks and communications systems, including Cloud, LAN, WAN, Metro-e, MPLS, IPSEC, SD Wan, datacenters, and other communications assets.
- Conducts Triage, troubleshoot, and repair system failures related to network configurations, network switching / routing, network devices, and datacenter equipment.
- Provide third level (Tier 3) escalation operational support for remote sites, including power generation plants.
- Maintains a high level of functionality and availability of all VPNs, switching infrastructure, firewalls, wireless networks, and WAN links.
- Clearly identifies network configuration and/or performance irregularities or anomalies and develop procedures to respond to these irregularities in a timely manner.
- Take primary responsibility for making improvements to the environment; develop technical standards.
- Responds and contributes to business continuity and disaster recovery circumstances relating to planned and unplanned events.
- Carry primary responsibility of tasks relating to planning, design, installation, configuration, documentation, operation, and continuous improvement of global Information Technology infrastructure.
- Must be willing to participate in on-call support in the nights & weekends as part of the network engineering team supporting Global Infrastructure
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and services in cooperation with network management; conduct project planning, cost analysis, tech comparisons, and evaluations.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, GCP, or Oracle platforms.
- Experience on the following equipment is a must: Cisco switching platforms 6513, 6509 VSS, Routing platforms 3825, Security platforms Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX , SSL VPN, Site to Site VPN, Wireless
- Nice to have experience on Palo Alto PA and other non-standard
- AWS certifications are a plus

- Candidate must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays)

- Candidate will be on flexible work arrangement (combination of onsite and remote work) (if applicable depending on the nature of the job)
