Job Description Position Overview As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for the remote monitoring, operation, and analysis of Invenergy’s fleet of wind and solar farms, and battery storage facilities. Responsibilities Remotely monitor and reset wind turbines, solar inverters, and other plant equipment Manage balance of plant controls: power/curtailments, voltage, reactive power, other controls Communicate and coordinate with site technicians, customers, and power markets Analyze data, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues Monitor weather at sites for safety of maintenance technicians Work independently or collaboratively on projects and initiatives that enhance the operations and reliability of the control center Position will be on a rotating shift that will require the person to work nights, weekends, and some holidays Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree in a course of study that demonstrates strong analytical and technical skills Or Associate Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience Or military service experience in positions that require communication and analytical and decision-making skills Strong oral and written communication skills Problem solving and critical thinking Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft Excel Experience with wind turbines and SCADA software Knowledge of data monitoring software such as PI Benefits Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), profit sharing, bonus, paid time off, etc. Invenergy LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
