Job Description Position Overview As a Development Associate you will be a core member of the development team and your role will be to assist on the delivery and identification of renewables development opportunities for onshore and offshore technologies. Responsibilities Being an active member of our team who are responsible for growing our onshore renewables pipeline across the UK by striving to identify and secure new development opportunities Undertake detailed assessments of a site’s renewables development potential, including a detailed examination of all development constraints, risks and opportunities Assist in managing the full project life cycle from identification through to financial close produce and keep up to date project programmes, project budgets and manage internal reporting requirements appoint and manage external consultants manage stakeholder consultation including presenting projects to consultees, permitting stakeholders and host communities Track offshore wind leasing rounds in the UK and Republic of Ireland, identify points of entry and assist in developing strategies and budgets Actively seek and identify offshore wind joint venture and acquisition opportunities in UK and Republic of Ireland Keep up to date with jurisdictional planning processes, regulation and policy and identify key risks and opportunities arising from change Manage engagement with internal teams such as engineering, finance, legal, O&M Required Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. Relevant experience would include having worked for a renewables developer and/or having worked within a related discipline such as the environment or planning A good understanding of the renewables market and the development process A good understanding of policy and drivers for change Demonstrable relationships within energy industry Commercial awareness Ability to use GIS and Wind Pro packages would be beneficial Relevant undergraduate or post graduate degree What We Can Offer You Market leading flexible compensation and benefits commensurate with skills and experience
