Inside Sales Representative

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

More than ⅓  of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.

We’re on the hunt for an Inside Sales Representative to join the Sales team at Too Good To Go in Melbourne.

Through our leading marketplace app, we connect businesses that have surplus unsold food stock, with consumers who can purchase and enjoy it at only ⅓ of the retail value. We are a certified B Corporation with the mission to empower everyone to take action against global food waste. Alongside our app, we also create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of 117 million registered users and 244,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already saved 439 million meals from going to waste - avoiding almost 1,186,000 tonnes of CO2e!

In 2023, Too Good To Go was recognised on Fortune's acclaimed 'Change the World' list, named as one of Deloitte's 'Best Managed Companies' and won a coveted 'Cultural Impact Award' at the annual Apple App Store Awards. We’re also thrilled to announce we were the 2025 Winner of the "Technology for Impact" Award at the 36th Banksia Foundation National Sustainability Awards.

Your mission.

As an Inside Sales Representative at Too Good To Go, you are in charge of turning interest into passion by contacting stores that register interest as soon as possible and turn them into To Good To Go customers, as well as proactively get in touch with stores you think would be great! As part of the recently launched team in Australia, you will have an important role in changing the conversation around food waste in Australia and establishing Too Good To Go’s brand in the minds of customers and food businesses.

Through a mix of phone calls, emails and strategic outreach, you'll help support stores in completing their sign up, going live on the platform and paving the way for impactful partnerships.

Your focus will be on closing inbound leads and conducting outbound calls to generate new opportunities. You will build your own personal legacy within the company and our mission through the stores you sign up, ensuring they continue their food-saving journey long into the future.

You'll also be at the forefront of our fast growing expansion across Australia, engaging restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and bakeries who haven’t yet heard of Too Good To Go, showcasing the benefits of joining our leading platform.

This role is based out of our Melbourne office in Southbank.

In a nutshell, we’re looking for:

  • Negotiation and persuasion: you educate and empower stores that have reached out to us to join Too Good To Go and contact stores that may not be aware of us yet.
  • You will be an expert in finding, converting and developing partnerships and will optimise new sales processes, sales coaching, data analysis and find synergies with other teams.
  • Powerful communication: You will deliver the value of the Too Good To Go and our benefits to potential customers, establishing relationships, building rapport and a strong pipeline
  • Effective selling: you will demonstrate a people first mentality, using techniques to identify stores needs and curate the best setup experience for them
  • Successfully onboard and train the stores and their employees to ensure long term success using our platform
  • Follow up with the stores: you will keep a relationship with the store for 4 weeks to make sure they are fully enabled to hit the ground running and maximise their impact.
  • You’ll maintain a high volume of calls and outreach to stores, achieving monthly sales targets

You will be a great fit, if:

  • You have experience working within a fast sales environment, especially over the phone (closing experience desirable)
  • You have cold calling experience: you can demonstrate excellent active listening and strong communication, with the ability to quickly connect and establish rapport with our potential partners - bakeries, restaurants, cafes and more
  • You have a fearless mindset and the resilience to keep trying if things get tough
  • You’re rigorous and organised: you manage your time well and keep track of your pipeline, open opportunities and onboarding customers.
  • You’re data-driven, have experience working with a CRM (like Salesforce or Hubspot) and have basic knowledge of Excel.
  • You’re independent: you time block well to juggle multiple tasks and projects
  • You’re a team player and know how to create synergy with other areas of the business to help fight food waste together
  • You have full Australian working rights

We recognise that every individual has a unique background that brings value, (outside of the visa) if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above, tell us why you’d still be a great fit for this role in your cover letter!
