Sales Development Representative

Carbon Recycling International (CRI) is the globally recognized leader in CO2-to-methanol technology, operating at an industrial scale since 2012. As a Sales Development Representative at Carbon Recycling International, you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for building relationships, evaluating leads, and introducing CRI’s innovative solutions. You will manage the top of the sales funnel, helping to generate and qualify leads, and working closely with our sales team to move opportunities forward. This is a key role in our growth strategy, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales pipeline for transformative projects in the renewable energy sector. This position will work out of CRI’s headquarters in Reykjavik, Iceland.  


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify leads from various sources based on their fit for CRI’s renewable energy technology and solutions. 
  • Initiate contact with potential clients via phone, email, and social media, effectively communicating CRI’s value proposition as a leader in sustainable energy. 
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers to create engagement opportunities and ensure consistent follow-up. 
  • Collaborate with the commercial team for seamless lead handoff and transition through the sales funnel. 
  • Conduct discovery calls and nurture leads by providing relevant information and customized presentations, positioning CRI as a trusted partner. 
  • Provide input for product development and sales and marketing strategies  to ensure successful market entry and growing market position. 


Qualifications:
 

  • Proven experience in a sales, lead generation, or business development role, ideally within the renewable energy, chemical, O&G or EPC sectors. 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling way. 
  • Comfortable engaging in outreach via cold calls, emails, and social media. 
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.  
  • Ability to evaluate leads, prioritize prospects, and organize follow-up activities efficiently. 
  • Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
