
ESG Intern – Sustainability & Compliance
Support the ESG team in implementing and enhancing sustainability strategies in alignment with regulatory frameworks such as CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and sustainability assessment methodologies like EcoVadis, and Footprint Calculation.
Please note that this in an unpaid internship intended for students currently enrolled in a university program (or similar), as part of their academic curriculum.
We are looking for a motivated and proactive ESG Intern to support our team in analyzing sustainability data, conducting ESG assessments, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory and stakeholder expectations. The intern will be involved in data collection, reporting, benchmarking, and supporting key ESG projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support in ESG Reporting & CSRD Compliance:
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and structuring non-financial data for CSRD-aligned reporting.
- Help draft sustainability reports, disclosures, and presentations.
EcoVadis & ESG Ratings:
- Assist in EcoVadis assessments and sustainability ratings improvement initiatives.
- Benchmark company performance against peers and suggest action plans.
Footprint Calculation & Climate Strategy:
- Support in calculating the carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2 & 3) and sustainability impact metrics.
- Assist in preparing climate strategy roadmaps in line with SBTi and EU Taxonomy.
Stakeholder Engagement & ESG Benchmarking:
- Collaborate with internal teams (BI team, Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations) to gather ESG data.
- Research industry best practicesand contribute to sustainable business model improvements.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Bachelor’s programin Sustainability, Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Finance, Law, or related fields.
- Strong interest in corporate sustainability, ESG frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Basic understanding of CSRD, materiality analysis, carbon footprint calculation, and ESG ratings.
- Strong analytical and research skillswith the ability to interpret (complex) ESG data.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ESG data visualization toolsis a plus.
- Fluent in English(French or Dutch is an advantage).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
