Are you a dynamic, customer-focused professional who thrives in a sales role that combines inside and outside sales responsibilities? Our New Steel Service Center in Rochester, NY is seeking a Sales Representative to deliver exceptional service, build strong customer relationships, and help drive our success.
What You'll Do:
In this versatile role, you'll balance working from our service center with visiting customers in the field. Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing outstanding service to walk-in customers and answering phone inquiries with professionalism.
Preparing and delivering accurate, timely quotes that meet or exceed profit targets.
Managing sales orders efficiently and assisting customers with industry-related questions.
Building relationships with new and existing customers through outbound calls and on-site visits.
Identifying customer needs and presenting solutions tailored to their requirements.
Supporting warehouse operations as needed, including loading trucks, fulfilling orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Operating equipment such as saws, shears, and forklifts to assist with order preparation.
Delivering orders to customers as required, ensuring timely and professional service.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a motivated sales professional with a mix of customer service and operational skills. The ideal candidate will have:
3+ years of experience in sales or customer service (preferred).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math proficiency and a commitment to accuracy.
Physical stamina to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility to work off-hours, weekends, and outdoors as needed.
