Leap29 have a position available on behalf of an IPP company, who are backed by a leading global investor, for Project Development Manager for Solar & BESS. Our client have activities across UK and Globally.

 

The position will also have a focus on managing interconnection agreements and interacting with DNO and local authorities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of solar and BESS projects from inception to completion.

• Manage and negotiate interconnection agreements with UK DNO and local authorities 

• Conduct site assessments, secure land and feasibility studies.

• Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

• Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance.

• Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.

• Support the technical design and engineering team.

• Monitor market trends and emerging technologies in solar and BESS.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development.

• Proven track record in managing interconnection agreements within the UK market.

• Strong knowledge of UK electrical grid infrastructure and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
