Job Description

Schneider Electric has completed a global cloud migration programme, spanning 160 countries in all five continents. Our Cloud Operations organization is now dedicated to supporting, refining, and advancing our cloud services. Our efforts are centered around three main pillars: operational efficiency, collaboration, and cost optimization with a special focus on automation and standardization of the workload. The main mission will be to operate, maintain, support, and improve the AWS and IOM services in the cloud, acting as a full stack infrastructure integrator among the different layers of IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Service Follow-Up: Ensure operations are performed with a high-quality level.
  • Incident Resolution: Resolve incidents within our scope and collaborate with other teams for resolution.
  • Critical Incident Management: Accountable for managing critical incidents (P1/P2).
  • Incident Reduction: Reduce the number and duration of incidents in the cloud.
  • User Demands and Service Requests: Deliver on user demands and service requests.
  • Application Understanding: Understand our critical applications and the key technical components of each one.
  • Time to Market Improvement: Improve time to market for new requests, changes, and evolutions.
  • Standards Promotion: Use and promote our standards.
  • Security Improvement: Actively improve day-to-day security.
  • Obsolescence Remediation: Keep cloud infrastructure up-to-date.
  • Process Improvement: Propose improvements to our tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Automation: Develop automated scripts to gain efficiency in day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate in Computer Science or similar.
  • Certifications: AWS SysOps Administrator.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of experience in AWS Services.
    • 8 years as a Windows/Linux administrator.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Administration of IT infrastructure: OS Windows/Linux.
    • Management of AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, LB, SSM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc.
    • Automation: PowerShell scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Bash.
    • Basic Networking knowledge: VPC, SG, FW rules, routing, etc.
    • ITIL processes knowledge.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Pragmatic and solution-oriented.
    • Proactive in issue resolution.
    • Service-oriented.
    • Team player.
    • Able to work with an extended network of peers.
    • Open-minded.

 

Important details to consider before applying: 

  • We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
  • Compensation Base pay will range between $125,000-$145,000 plus bonus, excellent benefits and a culture of work/life balance. 
  • Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.
