Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking an acquisitions landman to support solar energy projects in Texas by securing mineral waivers from mineral owners. This role is essential to advancing renewable energy initiatives by ensuring surface development can proceed without conflicts related to mineral ownership.

Responsibilities

    • Contact mineral owners identified through detailed research provided by PLM landmen.
    • Negotiate and secure mineral waivers for solar development by addressing owner concerns and explaining waiver agreements.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with mineral owners to facilitate successful negotiations.
    • Track and manage waiver acquisition progress using internal systems, ensuring all agreements are documented accurately.
    • Collaborate with landmen, project managers, and leadership to refine waiver acquisition strategies.
    • Maintain professionalism in all communications and represent PLM with integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in mineral leasing, acquisitions, or related negotiations.
    • Familiarity with Texas mineral rights, surface use agreements, and waiver negotiations.
    • Proven ability to negotiate and close agreements in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple waiver negotiations simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
    • Experience using CRM or deal-tracking tools is a plus.
