Job Description

Job Purpose:

To lead the day-to-day project/company management and operations in order to maximize project’s/company’s performance and returns to shareholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Actively participate in strategic planning of the project company and contribute to the annual strategy and business plan.
  • Lead the execution of the project company strategy, business plan and objectives, while ensuring that resource utilization is optimized.
  • Ensure that the strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and KPIs for the project company and that performance is monitored and reported so that any necessary actions are taken in a timely manner
  • Supervise O&M contractor activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors to address technical challenges and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of contractors and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with O&M contractors to schedule preventive maintenance activities and respond promptly to any corrective maintenance needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules and records for all solar installations.
  • Review maintenance reports and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Monitor the SPV budget and analyze the benefits and costs; recommending corrective actions if necessary.
  • Monitor and advise upon project finances.
  • Manage staff and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence and motivated work environment.
  • Contribute to the establishment of effective project governance processes and systems to be utilized throughout project durations.
  • Ensure that resources are identified and secured in time to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with any relevant delegation of authority, cost and invoice management, risk management, human capital management, procurement management and others to allow smooth project execution.
  • Personally manage key relationships/negotiations with relevant internal and external stakeholders at senior levels in order to ensure the negotiation and agreement of favorable deals and agreements that safeguard the project’s best interests while ensuring the delivery of necessary needs/goals
  • Present regular and ad-hoc shareholders/senior management reports as and when required.
  • Interface with key stakeholders and external parties in order to effectively manage changes and conduct impact assessment.

 

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics or related discipline
  • MBA or Master’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

Preferred Experience: 

  • 10-15 years of experience within renewable energy, in particular PV or Wind Projects, preferably with local and global exposure, with roles focused on operation management and/or project management/governance.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of renewables, PV or Wind Technology.
  • Extensive knowledge of operation management and project management
  • Knowledge of renewable energy plant performance aspects and performance management
  • Strong financial skills (project economic analysis) as well as good understanding of Project Finance
  • Ability to integrate and lead cross-functional teams
  • English + Uzbek or Russian speaker would be an advantage
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills leading to a consultative approach within a corporate / multifunctional environment

Must be willing to Relocate to Uzbekistan. Relocation package is available.
