Responsibilities
The Environmental Representative reporting directly to the Site Health, Safety, Environmental and Security Manager will be responsible for driving compliance and advancing site environmental programs and systems.
This includes but is not limited to the following duties:
• Participate in the implementation of Eastman policies and guidelines to help ensure that our employees, contractors, and visitors enjoy high levels of safety, health and environmental protection; thus reducing our liability exposure and preserving our privilege to operate.
• Using internal and external resources to provide guidance to site management for implementation of programs or controls to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
• Manage site environmental programs including but not limited to Title V, LDAR, and wastewater.
• Provide support for environmental compliance management systems and software applications including working with vendors to maintain and update systems, as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports on a timely basis to appropriate agencies to assure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations. As required, obtain new or revised permits that provide operational flexibility within the schedule established for new projects. Ensure that the operating units can meet all provisions and provide tools to enable compliance.
• Working with Eastman, external industry groups and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, provide input to influence emerging air and other regulations that would potentially impact plant operations.
• Provide environmental guidance, develop procedures and training, and support the site as needed.
• Participate in site objectives in the areas of community relations.
• Experience/familiarity with Federal and TCEQ requirements.

Qualifications
Education Requirements:
B.S. in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related equivalent, advanced degrees are preferred.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environmental environment.
