We are currently seeking for Experienced Consultants to join our Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Team
Job summary – the purpose of the role is to provide support on a variety of projects relating to the environment and sustainability for internal and external customers.
What will you do?
As part of the KPMG Environmental and Sustainability team, you are expected to:
- Be actively involved in a wide range of projects (e.g sustainability reporting and assurance, ESG strategy development, waste management plans, GHG management and decarbonization plans, waste traceability audit, environmental impact and due diligence studies, ESG Due diligence etc.).
- Develop and manage various sizes of projects, producing work of high quality, on time and within budget.
- Act in an advisory capacity in your own specialist area by providing tailored input for our portfolio of clients and projects.
- Develop customer relationships, as and when required, to complete specific elements of projects from our portfolio.
- Become involved in the preparation of a number of bids and commercial offers prepared by the KPMG Advisory team.
- Work with minimal supervision to prepare research materials, position papers, budgets, offers, events or marketing materials that are used for internal and external purposes etc.
What are we looking for?
- At least 3-5 years relevant experience in projects covering environmental and/or sustainability issues.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental related areas/ Economics or other relevant technical fields, with an excellent academic record. A Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering or Economics would be a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainability concepts.
- Advanced knowledge of the national and EU environmental regulatory framework.
- Experience in waste management and operational audits for organizations taking over responsibility for waste management would be a plus.
- Technical certification in environmental related areas (e.g. waste management, environmental management systems) would be a plus.
- Relevant previous work experience in the field of environmental protection or other ESG related areas.
- Internships, out of the box experiences (e.g. volunteering projects) and/or international exposure would be a plus.
- Effective communication skills – written and verbal.
- Good knowledge of the English language, and ability to use appropriate business and technical terminology to prepare a professional report.
