Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager(EHS)
Job Description:
Our client, a leader within the renewable energy space, is looking for a rising star to become the EHS leader for their manufacturing facility in the Maryland area. This role will play a pivotal role in the designing, implementing and overseeing EHS policies and procedures for high profile facility in the cutting edge of renewable manufacturing.
What will this role look like on a week-to-week basis?
- Create, implement and oversee EHS policies and programs in line with federal, state, and local regulations. (Including response planning)
- Ensure proper procedures and in place and followed for the environment for the facility.
- Lead Safety risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives within the EHS space.
- Track, analyze, and report key metrics to operational leadership.
- Mentor front line employees in hazard identification and risk management.
What are qualifications/experience are we looking for?
- A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in the overseeing EHS programs within Industrial or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental health and safety.
- Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management. (PSM)
- EHS certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.
