The chosen candidate will be responsible for spearheading the identification, evaluation, and funding of sustainable energy projects and partnerships to support the company's growth and long-term objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Project Identification and Evaluation: Aid in the discovery and assessment of a diverse range of sustainable energy initiatives. Evaluate investment prospects to align with company objectives and market dynamics.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on the local sustainable energy market, including trends, major players, past transactions, and upcoming opportunities. Provide support for strategic assessments to ensure conformity with market conditions.
  • Due Diligence, Financial Analysis, and Risk Oversight: Conduct meticulous due diligence, financial analysis, and risk evaluation to organize intricate acquisitions, developments, and financing undertakings. Execute cash flow analysis, facilitate project financings or capital raises. Recognize and apply risk mitigation strategies.
  • Transaction Structuring: Manage and contribute to the commercial, legal, and financial aspects of transaction structuring. Oversee negotiations and commercial scrutiny of term sheets and contracts, such as acquisition agreements, shareholder agreements, collaborative development alliances, and Memorandums of Understanding.
  • Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs): Support commercial reviews of power purchase agreements, leases, EPC contracts, and O&M agreements to ensure advantageous terms and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Investor Relations: Formulate project teasers and information documents for debt and equity investors. Address commercial and technical due diligence queries from potential investors and financiers.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Supervise regular reporting operations to update management on ongoing transactions and anticipated timelines for significant milestones. Preparation and review of internal and external investment documentation.
  • Legal Documentation and Financial Closure: Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to ensure timely completion of all legal documentation in line with approvals, facilitating prompt financial closure.
  • Network Development: Foster and leverage a network of professional connections with fundamental external stakeholders, including financial, legal, and commercial advisors, as well as pertinent regulatory bodies and industry participants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, business, or a closely related field; preference for an advanced degree like MBA.
  • Demonstrated expertise in investment management, specifically within sustainable energy ventures.
  • Profound analytical capabilities with a focus on financial modeling and risk evaluation.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication proficiencies.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively in a dynamic setting and handle multiple projects concurrently.
