Job Description

Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation Systems Technician in the Morrisville, NC area.

For this position is typically held by someone who has at least 2 years’ experience in building automation.

 The individual's experience may be limited as is their exposure to our specific business.

 

For this position is responsible for learning how to understand project/ service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety. Participates in project/service activities on site related to the coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems.

 

This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer and reports to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Technician must be able to work on his/her own and/or with others when needed
  • Be customer-friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable
  • Familiar with Package units, split systems, RTU’s, and mini splits
  • Familiar with electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • Familiar with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
  • Experience with performing a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection
  • Ability to communicate with the team and with customers
  • Must comply with all safety standards and processes • Must be able to climb ladders and work in close spaces

Qualifications:

 

2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience servicing electronic and or mechanical systems EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
