• Become familiar with technique, approaches, and fixtures of solar panels and battery installation
• Assist with layout, assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining different roof systems, as instructed by leads and foreman, using a variety of materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal
• Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new roofing or solar installation
• Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific areas
• Assist with mechanical/structural mounting of racks, modules and electrical equipment
• Remove snow, water, ice, or debris from roof prior to applying solar and/or roofing materials to it
• Apply waterproofing materials to protect roofs from leaks
• Troubleshoot leaks and damages
• Preparation and clean up of job site
• Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate manner
• Additional duties as required

• Construction experience and comfortable on roofs of varied height and slope
• 0-1 years’ experience
• Minimum of 1 year roofing experience a must
• Previous experience as a roofer or in a related construction field is preferred
• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
• Knowledge of different roofing materials and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in roofing projects
• Familiarity with caulking, stucco, and other sealing materials
• Basic understanding of construction estimating and measurements
• Must have a clean driving record in accordance with Photon Brothers insurance parameters
• Must be motivated and a team player.
• Positive mental attitude with the willingness to learn and evolve
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of installers
• Must be able to lift panels and roofing materials (roughly up to 60 pounds), climb ladders up to 30 times per day, and work in various weather conditions

Experience Installing Solar PV a plus. Preference to those with licensing, Electrical Apprentice*

(*please note that this role is focused primarily on roof installations, but electrical knowledge is beneficial to the role!)

Pay: $21- $25/hr, depending on experience with overtime opportunities
