Education\:

Experience and Skills\:

A minimum of 5 years of Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability work experience.
Knowledge of US EPA, OSHA, DOT regulations and emerging laws/trends
Ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to write reports, policy and procedure
Demonstrated project management skills
Self-starter, focused on solutions and problem solving
Show good decision making and judgment skills
Excellent influencing, planning, organizational and time management skills
Highly professional in dealing with internal and external customers

Preferred\:

Work experience in the medical device industry
Knowledge of Facilities management
Experience working with EHS data reporting and tracking systems
Technical expertise in the one or more of the following area of occupational safety and environmental regulations\: Hazard Identification, Ergonomics, Machine Safety, LOTO, Chemical Substance Management, Emergency Response, Hazardous Waste and Industrial Hygiene.

Johnson & Johnson, Sterilmed is recruiting a Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to be located in Plymouth, MN.

The Senior EHS Specialist will establish and maintain all processes to identify, evaluate, and control related risk for the Sterilmed site in Plymouth, MN and NeuWave Medical site in Madison, WI.

Key Responsibilities\:

Assesses EHS hazards, risks and compliance and uses results from these assessments/audits to recommend appropriate controls/corrective actions
Manages projects requiring knowledge of EHS principles, practices and regulatory requirements to support the implementation of appropriate control measures and program improvements
Supports and facilitates site EHS teams/committees/safety culture program to ensure implementation of the EHS program
Partners with local management to develop and implement site EHS CAPAs to address EHS program deficiencies
Lead multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines, develop innovative solutions to problems, partner well with associates at all levels and have the leadership skills to lead projects and teams
Devise methods for achieving compliance with regulatory and J&J requirements while meeting business constraints of the business locations being supported
Extrapolate general guideline documents to the specifics of the business location
Prepare, conduct, coordinate and manage effective training classes and programs for EHS matters (BBP, PIV, Emergency Response, etc.)
Provide oversight to EHS consultants and contractors at Sterilmed & NeuWave Medical while also supporting regional J&J business locations
Monitor and evaluate new regulations to determine impact on operating location
