Job Description:

The position will provide support to the Global Head of HSEC in fulfilment of legal requirements and stakeholders expectations on Health, Safety and Environment matters and Climate Change mainly through monitoring of HSE compliance for assets and improvement, formalization and implementation of Gunvor’s Environment and Energy transition management, due diligence and reporting system.

Principle Accountabilities:

Work with assets to ensure applicable legal requirements are identified and addressed
Work with assets on developing an HSE compliance system and appropriate management of relationship with authorities
Identify and update Climate Change related reporting requirements, prepare internal and external reports on Energy Transition plans and performance as legally required or internally defined
Lead the definition of a reporting framework for Energy Transition issues and its implementation. Be responsible for its maintenance and improvement
Take part in the development of the Energy Transition strategy and use of scenarios, and be responsible to develop related internal procedures and take part in their implementation
Assess new projects on Energy transition impact and work with business and M&A on systematic integration of those aspects
work with assets, trading desks and Nyera to continue developing and deploying the transition trajectory and climate change management trajectory.
take part in due diligence processes for projects related to carbon, green and transitional activities as well as for traditional projects as required.
upcoming expectations and work with the HSEC department and beyond to prepare relevant approaches, and help their deployment.
Support in the development of training on Corporate Social responsibility
Participate in the update of intranet and internal communication tool on Sustainability topics

Profile / Key Skills:

Bachelor’s degree, Masters degree in relevant domain (environmental, sustainability...) or other qualifications
4 to 5 year experience in Oil & Gas, Energy or Mining with experience in due diligence
Strong knowledge of HSE requirements for industrial assets
Good knowledge of Energy Transition framework of businesses, European Taxonomy and energy transition scenario
Good communication skills
Excellent writing skills
Ability to work on several projects at the same time
English As main language and French Preferred
