The Sr EHS Manager for Ohio locations partners with the EHS Manager for the Kentucky locations to develop, implement and lead the Company's safety initiatives (e.g. OSHA, Driver Safety, and First Responder), to create and maintain a culture that embraces working safely while ensuring alignment, compliance and effectiveness across all locations. Analyzes and evaluates prospective needs for programs and services needed to position G&J Pepsi as a premier employer of choice. The Sr EHS Manager is a key partner of the HR, Field Sales, Operations & ELT Teams and will participate in meetings and to support G&J in that capacity as well as manage the hiring, mentoring, development and performance management of the Ohio Safety Team function.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

•	Builds and oversees a behavior-based Safety Culture. This will be achieved by active site visits; analyzing safety risks; championing a behavior-based safety system; making recommendations for corrective or preventative measures; coaching business partners on how to create a Safety Culture at their locations.
•	Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed, and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g., OSHA, and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws) and (Driver Safety and FMCSA Compliance). Additional Compliance Reporting: - TRI - Tier2 - Quarterly Deviation Reports - Annual Storm Water Survey - Monthly Wastewater Reports - BLS Injury Stats - OSHA Recordable Report – 300log - Annual Waste/Recycling Reports to the County - Sustainability Reporting
•	Develops, manages, and administers the Occupational Safety and Health Program; works closely with management team in formulating safety and health rules, regulations, policies and procedures; conducts safety health-checks and inspections; proactively identifies unsafe conditions and unsafe acts/behaviors and works with local leadership to develop appropriate actions to address.
•	Employs proactive approach to managing workplace safety and accident prevention by utilizing Job Hazard Analysis, accident analysis, inspections and safety education and training.
•	Directs and participates in the Corporate Safety Committee and attends local safety meetings as needed.
•	Supports development, implementation and administration of written policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance with the provisions of applicable federal state occupational safety laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA); meant to ensure the wellbeing of employees or visitors.
•	Supports development of compliance policy and training (e.g., safety training, accident investigation training, substance abuse training) and provides policy oversight and communication to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and internal company policy; recommends policy changes to ELT (Executive Leadership Team).
•	Completes preliminary budgetary information, employee performance reviews, required governmental reports (e.g., OSHA, Driver DOT) and other paperwork according to established policy.
•	Maintains confidentiality of financial information, insurance and litigation documents, employee information (e.g., wage information, discipline, health information) and other sensitive and confidential information.
•
•	Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement mindset through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the business.
•	Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Works with and supports the “Netradyne” System.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT regulations, hazard identification and corrections, environmental regulations, workers compensation, human behavior, and physical attributes related to job capabilities strongly preferred.

Experience:

5-7 years of previous safety/occupational risk management experience and/or training in an industrial/distribution environment (Warehousing, loading or inventory control experience a bonus). 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience.

Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.

OSHA30/CPR/AED/First Aid
