About the job- Environmental Compliance Manager– Stockholm

What You’ll Do at Elekta

The Environmental Compliance Manager will play a key role in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Elekta Solutions management system to maintain a compliant system towards applicable regulations & standards.

The role will act as management representative to ensure that Elekta’s environmental management system is operating in accordance with environmental/sustainability targets and determine where improvements can be made to ensuring compliance with environmental legislation across the global organization.

The right stuff

Establish, improve, and implement environmental strategies and action plans, to ensure corporate sustainability targets.
Provide support and coordination for operational aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy.
Lead the implementation of environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with European and international regulations, directives, and standards.
Promote and integrate the environmental management system (ENMS) and its principles throughout the organization.
Act as Process Lead to drive harmonization and integration of related process improvements.
Establish and monitor applicable objectives, risks and KPIs.
Conduct internal audits, analyze, and report on environmental performance to top management and key stakeholders.
Manage and support external audits and maintain ISO certifications.
Manage non-conformities and CAPAs from start to end.
Drive projects and support activities in accordance with the RAQ overall business plan and in alignment with the overall business objectives.

What we believe you have

Minimum of 3 years of work experience from relevant environmental management functions within the manufacturing industry.
Objective driven and customer focused, with an ability to influence people.
Capable of producing results working independantly and unsupervised under own initiative.
A structured/organized approach to problem solving with an appreciation of lean techniques.
An effective team player who prefers to share and communicate problems and solutions with other members of the team.
Confident and open personality who is able to communicate effectively, both written and orally with people at all levels.
A positive attitude towards change to promote the global goals of the business.
High personal integrity.
A science/technical university degree or equivalent.
Proffessional English written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Able to work within a multi-cultural environment.
In depth and documented knowledge within applicable regulations and standards (such as ISO 14001, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, EU Batteries Directive, EU Packaging Directive, ECO/Sustainable Design, Conflict/Rare Minerals and more).
