Reporting to the Vice President, Regulatory and Sustainability, the Sustainability Manager will be instrumental in creating and implementing sustainability policies and programs at Eastlink. Eastlink is headquartered in Halifax, NS with operations across the country so while the Sustainability Manager will be based at head office there may be some travel to the regions involved in the role. The ideal candidate will be adept at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and passionate about reducing Eastlink’s impact on the environment. Some accountabilities include: Building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to create a strong sustainability network both within the organization and in the communities Eastlink serves. Developing and managing Eastlink’s sustainability program, using research and analysis to develop and maintain Eastlink’s sustainability strategies and policies, and creating long term sustainability goals for the organization. Proactively identifying opportunities to develop sustainability initiatives in all areas of the business by working collaboratively with departments and business leaders. Provide guidance and leadership with business case development, implementation of projects, and monitoring of goals and objectives. Promoting Eastlink’s sustainability program externally and internally, through employee communication, leading a green team, training, community events, and supporting sustainability marketing material. Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on results of sustainability initiatives. Requirements : Undergraduate degree in applied science or field related to sustainability 5 years related experience in a sustainability focused corporate role Adept at communicating sustainability initiatives to people at all levels of the organization Experience with policy writing, and maintaining a corporate sustainability program Experience influencing senior leadership teams to implement change Experience building a corporate sustainability program considered an asset Strong analytical capabilities, Microsoft Excel, and data analytics proficiency Project management skills with demonstrated experience to self-manage complex delivery Why Choose Eastlink?
