We are looking for a Senior Strategy Consultant to join our Sustainability Services Business line.

As part of the Sustainability Strategy consulting team in JLL Hong Kong’s wider Sustainability Services team, you will be heavily involved in all aspects of project delivery, business development and service innovation.

Our services begin with helping clients to define compelling visions, create leading strategies and develop challenging targets. Working with us will provide you with exposure to high-profile clients, supporting them with the development and practical implementation of sustainable property and ESG strategies.

What this job involves

Contribute to the overall development and growth of our Sustainability Strategy Consultancy services through:

Project management of the delivery of a client programmes or projects, including oversight of other team members, ensuring positive professional relationships and the effective delivery of sustainability services to time and budget.
Understanding a client’s sustainability needs and ambitions, undertaking legislation and peer reviews, and leading stakeholder engagement to develop and support the creation of compelling visions and strategies.

Development of carbon emission reduction targets, such as Net Zero Carbon targets and Science Based Targets, and associated roadmaps and action plans for achieving these, for investor and corporate occupier clients in Hong Kong and across the wider APAC region.
Qualitative and quantitative assessment of client performance and climate risk across portfolios of assets.
Working in a rigorous manner to deliver accurate, high quality, engaging and client-ready outputs, including reports, presentations, workshops and analytical models.
On-going development and improvement of the methodologies, models and frameworks which we use to support delivery of services to clients
Calculation of GHG emissions (based on NGER and GHG Protocol)

Line management and mentoring of junior colleagues to contribute to their professional growth and development.
Continually developing technical expertise in yourself and others in relation to the sustainability agenda in real estate.
Creating thought leadership to enhance client offerings, and ensure the team remain at the forefront of emerging thinking.
Actively participating in and leading on business development opportunities and development of sales collateral

Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role e.g. sustainability or professional services, delivering strategy and advisory work
Experience working in or with the commercial real estate sector and corporate clients and an excellent understanding of the Sustainability landscape as it relates to the commercial real estate sector
Experience managing teams to deliver project work
Strong experience in GHG accounting and reporting (NGERs, GHG Protocol), across scope 1, 2 and 3
Good awareness of a broad range of corporate social and environmental sustainability programmes, including areas such as Science Based Targets, Net Zero Strategies, Climate Risk reporting

Desirable experience:

Prior experience delivering Science-Based Targets and/or Net Zero Roadmaps and implementation plans at portfolio or business level
Experience with Climate Risk assessments and TCFD
Prior line management experience
Experience with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
Language ability (relevant to the APAC region) would be beneficial but not essential
