Overview: Core States Group has consolidated its rapidly growing energy market into a single Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team. Team members will work closely with management from the early stages of sales through project completion as part of an integrated design-build team driving high quality, efficient and quickly delivered renewable energy and distributed generation projects across North America. The energy future is now, and we are building it. Summary of Position: As the Permit Manager, you will be responsible for representing Core States Group and its clients with engaging with local/State/Federal permitting authorities. You will provide information regarding compliance to plans and specifications submittals with associated regulatory authorities. You will work mostly independently while supporting project managers, engineers, architects, and/or construction professionals. You will also prepare permitting due diligence reports as part of a feasibility analysis for projects. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: · Handle all paperwork and file for permits for renewable energy and distributed generation. · Independently complete project site investigation and due diligence reports for proposed development projects. · Review development code requirements and suggest approaches to project team to minimize or reduce development durations and cost. · Work with local governments/jurisdictions to submit and track construction drawings and permit applications packages. · Visit local municipalities to obtain necessary documentation. · Monitor each stage of the permit approval process. · Meet internal and external deadlines for permits. · Provide status updates to clients and internal employees. · Withdraw applications as needed. · Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, fax, and mailing in support of permitting related activities. Education and Experience: · High school diploma preferred, additional education a plus. · A minimum of 5 years of project coordinating/permit expediting experience with engineering or construction firm. · Experience with distributed energy projects (Battery, Generator, Solar, EV Charging, etc.) Skills/Abilities: · Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills. · Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). · Demonstrated familiarity with local codes and ordinances. Physical Requirements: · Local travel up to 50% · Ability to lift up to 10lbs. · Must have your own vehicle (all mileage will be reimbursed) Please do not be concerned if you do not meet every requirement.
