What will you be doing?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join the team to develop, assess, report and lead the sustainability portfolio of programmes and project within CooperVision.

You will manage a small team of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and work across CooperVision (GTIG, ESG, HSE, Operations, Packaging, Finance, RA, Marketing, Commercial, Life Cycle Management, R&D) to manage the overall sustainability portfolio in a regulated medical device environment. You will provide the leadership, tools, and reporting governance to enable CooperVision to identify strategies to meet its sustainability goals.

Specifically, you will\:

Assess, lead, align, and report the Sustainability Portfolio of projects and programs being run across Operations, with a network of partners internally in Operations, R&D, Life Cycle Management, ESG, Commercial and Regulatory, and externally with our suppliers, agencies and customers.
Manage Stakeholder meetings and reviews with Executives and Directors
Work within the Project Office Governance in Global Technical Innovations Group (GTIG) to manage the delivery of the GTIG Sustainability pipeline.
Form and validated the strategy against an excellent knowledge of Environmental and Sustainability regulation and the regional implementation.
Provide a central resource for the business for guidance, training, and tools for sustainability.
Represent CooperVision on industry and sustainability forums.

What key skills and experience should you have?

We would ideally like you to have the following\:

Track record on the forming and implementation of strategy
Experience and understanding of programme management ideally within regulatory requirements
Experience of working with cross-site, multinational, multi-disciplined teams is essential
Good understanding of Change Management and its application, so experience helping promote change and describe change to people is essential
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role
Experience of Life cycle assessment and ability to communicate on Metric’s to be able to quantify and pull together business impact
Ability to be literate with sustainability concepts and have a passion to make a difference in the sustainability arena is essential
Good understanding of the environmental Legislation and sustainability pathways (e.g., EU’s Green Deal).
