ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with data collection methods to obtain project and production process required information.

Assists with the collection and synthesizing of data derived from pollution emission measurements, atmospheric monitoring, meteorological and mineralogical information, and soil or water samples.

Assist with preparing graphs, charts, and statistical models from synthesized data.

Assist with EHS recordkeeping, completing EHS reports, and updating procedures.

Assist with maintaining the Environmental Management System (SDS Raw Material Input, Equipment Input, Waste Stream Input, Process Mapping) and the Compliance Database Software for facilities.

Conducts EHS compliance audits and inspections

Conducts emergency eyewash and shower inspections

Conducts confined space inventories (labels and changes)

Conducts lockout tag-out audits (Machine specific procedures/posted)

Conducts first aid kit inspections and medical inventory supply checks

Conducts emergency equipment/first response inspections (AED, stretchers, etc.)

Conducts PPE signage audits

Assist with HAZCOM Chemical inventories and labeling

Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work location is indoors, outside, and on elevated areas. There may be temperature extremes ranging from 30°F- 100°F.

Must be able to walk distances of over 1 mile during the course of the day.

Must be able to work in safety-sensitive areas.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. during the entire shift.

Must be able to frequently bend, sit, stand, reach, walk, squat, kneel, climb, and stand on the manufacturing floor for the entire workday.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
