To accelerate our leading position within applied scientifically based sustainability, we are strengthening the Global Sourcing team with a Sourcing Sustainability Lead. Through collaboration with our supply chain partners and internal stakeholders, the role will be instrumental in ensuring we meet our ambitions in terms of climate action and circular/restorative raw materials.

In cooperation with global and local functions across the world, this new role will engage with BioMar business units and suppliers to secure a deeper understanding of our RM footprints and supply chain impacts and how these can be reduced to ensure we meet our ambitions on sustainability.

In the new global role, you will:

Identify and manage options to reduce our footprint and initiate actions at global as well as BioMar site level.
Collaborate with Sourcing, Sustainability and R&D to identify new, low-impact Raw Materials and ensure adequate/valid data collection.
Work closely with Global Sustainability and the Global sourcing team to develop and report on sustainability/sourcing metrics.
Participate in auditing of global suppliers.
Ensure BioMar’s responsible sourcing agenda is being developed to meet future requirements.
Participate in stakeholder engagement initiatives, including RM improvement programs such as fishery improvement projects.

Passion for sourcing and sustainable raw materials

We hope you share our passion for innovation and sustainability and hope you will bring a proven track record of working cross-functionally with suppliers and sustainability. We are looking for a candidate, who has a:

Strong experience in Life Cycle Assessment and other sustainability methods, including knowledge of product environmental footprint methodology & quality standards (ISO, GMP etc).
Experience managing a complex stakeholder environment, project management, and can documented change management skills.
Knowledge of feed raw materials (ideally aquafeed).
Knowledge of sustainability data utilization.
Background in industrial ecology, environmental. sciences/engineering, supply chain management, green procurement, or agricultural sciences.
Strong communication skills in English.

Your workplace will be Aarhus Denmark (BioMar Group Head Quarter), or Trondheim Norway. As your stakeholders are situated across the globe, you should expect 50 - 75 days travelling days per year.
