As an Environmental Analyst you prepare project-related environmental documentation in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). You will use your analytical strengths while ensuring overall compliance with plans, specifications, procedures, codes, and standards. Specifically, you will:

prepare project related NEPA environmental documentation
conduct wetland delineations
develop Waters of the US Reports
conduct spatial analyses and mapping using ArcGIS
participate in project related public information meetings and public hearings
develop IDEM 401 and US Army Corps of Engineers 404 permit applications.

You will take responsibility for managing multiple projects (including budget, schedule and document development) and use your strength as a communicator during interactions with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members. You are flexible and adaptable to working independently and as part of a team, in the office and in the field.

Essential Candidate Qualities

Organized for efficiency and motivated to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Have proficiency with ArcGIS software
Systems and software proficiency, including Microsoft Office application

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources or related field.

3+ years of specific experience developing NEPA documentation for infrastructure related projects, conducting wetland delineations, performing analyses using GIS, and developing 401-404 permitting.
38-Hour U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Training is preferred
Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) NEPA certification is preferred
