About the role

Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Coordinator organizes and completes everyday EHS tasks. This requires supporting the various operations teams, ensuring they operate safely at their maximum potential. You will be tasked with maintaining/improving program/process efficiencies and communication regarding safety and compliance. Combining the high level of professional ability expected with personal qualities will allow you to join, manage and encourage existing highly motivated teams.

Fulltime, typically 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Some overtime may be required
Location: West Monroe
Salary range is based on experience
Travel required, up to 50% of the work time

Responsibilities

A strong advocate for Safety, Quality & Compliance ("SQC").
Be a leader in evaluating and mitigating risks, compliance governance, establishing and executing contingency plans, training on operations, environmental health, and safety, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Help lead and drive continuous improvement of the organization's safety programs (Behavior-Based Safety).
Aid in developing and implementing compliance, risk management, contingency standards, processes, systems, quality procedures, and programs for the operation.
Support work with Leadership Teams and Senior Leadership to ensure all compliance, risk management, and contingency planning programs are maintained, trained, and audited.
Aid in evaluating risk management for SQC obligations and operations - identifying, quantifying, and offering solutions to risks.
Lead KPIs and regular trend analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for early intervention in Safety & Compliance.
Work cross-functionally (e.g., Operations, HR, Legal, IT) to ensure corporate policies are accurate, compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, and effectively achieved.
Support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

Candidate requirements

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance governance (e.g. OSHA, MSHA, DOT, Etc.)
Expertise and experience in compliance monitoring and the ability to perform prescribed audits.
Functional knowledge and expertise in mechanical, scales, or distribution services are preferred.
Understanding of processes, systems, and contingencies related to environmental management, occupational health, and workforce safety.
Ability to collect and compile performance metrics, and measurements, from various sources and provide reports to multiple stakeholders.
The ability to operate windows PC systems and work with audio-visual systems.
Strong communication skills for advising senior leadership, service, distribution, and service center teams.
Working knowledge of SQC leading practices in risk management and data analytics (e.g., behavior-based safety, OIR/DART/LTIR, CAPAs, CSA Scores, and EHS risk management).
Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent organization skills able to anticipate needs, work within multiple projects, and manage shifting priorities.
A quick & versatile learner who is open to change; analyzes successes and failures for clues to improvement; experiments to find solutions; enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks; and quickly grasps the essence and underlying structure of things.

OSHA 30 Certification is a plus.
Willing to work in non-climate-controlled areas.
Willing to work overtime hours (inc. weekends)
Willing to Travel.
Clean Driving Record MVR Required.
