AGL is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions to our customers. As part of our ongoing operations, we are seeking an experienced Project Officer with expertise in boilers to join our Outages team at Bayswater Power Station.

About the Role:

As a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in coordinating and managing complex boiler-related projects and outages. Reporting to the Senior Outage Lead, Boiler, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to plan and execute work programs, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your technical knowledge and practical skills in the mechanical field, particularly in relation to boilers and associated equipment, will be essential for the successful completion of assigned scope of works.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive work packages for outages, including work lists, event details, and return-to-service programs.
Collaborate with senior specialists and engineers to define the content and structure of project specifications.
Support the development, monitoring, and adjustment of operations plans and strategies, ensuring works are completed at the required standard within budget.
Prepare outage scope and plans in SAP for both simple and complex plant outages, including capital improvements.
Coordinate multiple contractors to safely deliver high-quality work according to schedule and budget.
Estimate costs and establish, maintain, and report on project budgets.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline or possess an advanced diploma (TAFE) coupled with industry experience or a trade qualification. Previous experience as a project coordinator for outages or shutdowns, specifically focused on boilers, is crucial for this role. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Certificate 10/Welding Supervisors Certificate is highly desirable.
Experience in power station maintenance, with a working knowledge of power station plant, associated systems, and operational and engineering processes.
